Shadow might have been wrought from old and terrible nightmares that accosted the man for so many years, taking the shape of a demon, but it's still a cat. A large cat. V has taken a fondness to it, and it's hard not to transfer that same fondness to a retinue of housecats. Ten of them, who mewl and meow and chirp and yowl at the presence of two strangers in their house, here to take care of them.
